Troy Lucht - Executive Director
Troy and his wife Amber adopted their first child from Ethiopia and traveled to bring him forever home in June 2009. Troy's daily prayer prior to traveling to Ethiopia was for God to open his eyes in Ethiopia for what He had next for them. God did open Troy's eyes and The 1:27 Call is the result of that prayer. Troy's heart has been forever changed and he has now focused his energy, resources, time, and talent to caring for orphans. Troy will be using his 13+ years experience in program management and internet development to help lead the initiatives and programs that God reveals to the leaders of The 1:27 Call.
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

Kandra Benton - Events & Fundraising
Kandra and her husband, Stephen, are parents to two beautiful girls through the blessing of adoption. She felt the Holy Spirit leading her to become involved in orphan ministries shortly after adopting their first daughter. Kandra desires to use the gifts God has given her as well as her past experience with event coordination in this position with The 1:27 Call to minister to orphans. It is her hope that her life causes others to respond.
Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. 1 John 3:18

Mary Leigh Brown - Donor Relations
Mary Leigh has had a passion for orphans since she was a little girl. She and her husband are in the process of adopting their first child from South Korea and currently leads a local adoption support group. Mary Leigh has experience in the non-profit fundraising, donor relations, and bookkeeping with a local non-profit and is excited to bring her passion for orphans and her previous experience together for The 1:27 Call.

Melissa Johnson - Church Engagement
Melissa and her husband Rick have been blessed by the miracle of adoption with two daughters. Her children were adopted domestically and she feels God has called her to not only be mother to her young girls but to also encourage others to seek God’s heart for the orphaned and fatherless. She is passionate about educating believers about the orphan crisis and what they can do to help. "I believe many people do not respond because they are not aware of the need. My hope is that we can make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children locally and around the world by teaching individuals how to incorporate an orphan/adoption ministry in their church."
But you, O God do see trouble and grief; you consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to you; you are the helper to the fatherless. Psalms 10:14

Jeanine Joyner - Adoption Advocacy
Jeanine and her husband, Kyle, have four children and are passionate advocates for adoption. After four domestic adoptions, she and her family became aware of the worldwide orphan crisis and felt the call to answer that need. They are now embarking on the journey of international adoption as they await their next child from Ethiopia. Her heart's desire is for The 1:27 Call to provide a network of fellowship and support for adoptive families and to help Christian families who are called to adopt to get answers to their many questions. The adoption process can seem overwhelming, even scary, for many families. Jeanine feels that arming families with the truth of God's heart of adoption and the joy it brings to all who are touched by it will help them overcome their fears and encourage them as they step forward in obedience to God's calling.
Those who know your name will trust in you, for you, LORD, have never forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10

Rusty Rutledge - International Relations
Rusty is the father of three biological children that he is passionate about and has great hopes for. He longs for all children to be loved and have opportunities like his own children have for education and growth. Rusty and his wife, Elizabeth, have a burden for orphans that began developing after volunteering at The Good Shepherd Children's Home in Murfreesboro, TN. After becoming aware of the international orphan crisis he began to see opportunities for ministry. Rusty recognizes that in so many places around the world they simply do not have the necessary resources to properly care for orphans. Rusty believes that Scripture is so clear about our calling as believers to care for these little ones that he wants to use his talents and abilities to assist in raising awareness. He longs to see a world where children can live with an awareness of God's grace and without the daily struggle for food and clean water.
Defend the cause of the weak and fatherless; maintain the rights of the poor and oppressed. Psalm 82:3
